  • To develop and deliver an advertising sales strategy for company magazine and radio channel
  • To ensure that all advertising revenue streams are maximised
  • To deliver budget at a minimum
  • To achieve targeted revenues and yields on company and through magazine/ radio by maximising the revenue generated from existing and well as developing new advertising clients
  • To ensure a clear grasp of strategy, revenue, commitments and implications for under delivery
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
  • Sell advertising space in magazines, airtime on radio/ tv/ website
  • Secure sponsorhsip for events
  • Acquire new accounts through personal and professional networks
  • Maintain relationship with clients through regular follow ups
  • Keep track of sales and KPI
  • In charge of training of junior media sales staff
  • Attend networking sessions (conferences, events, parties...)


  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Advertising/Media, Mass Communications or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Proven experience of media sales including selling media solutions, both print and online, on the
    phone and face-to-face and delivering complete media solutions
  • Experience of a commercial sales environment including the ability to reach the targeted effective
    calls per week and maximise and deliver targeted revenues
  • Experience of generating new business streams within an advertising environment
  • Ability to generate significant forward bookings and up-sell existing clients
  • Team player who is used to working towards team targets
  • A good understanding of people management
  • Strong negotiator
  • Excellent relationships building skills at all levels of a business
  • Effective communication skills including excellent presentation skills, confident telephone manner
    and excellent telephone sales skills
  • Know how clients and agencies trade and buy media and how these process can work with
    publishing processes
