Principal of the Job

Main focus of the job are:

1.        IT Applications / Systems Support - Ensure timely delivery of IT support for CIT, Systems, and local

2.        CIT and Systems Plan and deliver CIT and Systems to meet business needs.
3.        Local Applications Support and drive improvement in operations using IT solutions.

Key Tasks / Activities / Responsibilities

Systems, CIT, and Local Applications Support:

Helpdesk Support

To ensure helpdesk performance meet SLA:
·        Ensure helpdesk issues and requests are responded within SLA.
·        Ensure timely deployment of critical hardware and software to support CIT.
·        Assist in documentation of CIT and Helpdesk.
·        Provide after-office support when activated.

Managing Computer Standards

To manage computer hardware standards.
·        Review and test hardware and software to support Systems, CIT, and Local Applications.
·        Ensure all IT hardware and software are setup and deployed according to standard.
·        Manage and work with vendors to support hardware and software.
·        Review and manage Atherstone and local vendors to support hardware and software.
·        Assist in review and update of implementation checklist.

Documentation & Administration

To review and ensure documentations are updated.
·        Review, update, and create documentations.
·        Ensure all documentation are reviewed and updated regularly.
·        Ensure all CIT inventory are updated.
·        Ensure replacement and proper disposal of IT inventory.

IT Support and Escalation

To render support and escalation of issues.
·        Serve as escalation for Systems, CIT, and Local Applications.
·        Review and analyse Systems, CIT, and Local Applications issues and introduce continuous improvement.
·        Conduct training to users and Helpdesk team.

CIT (Customer Interface Technology) Support:

Support of CIT

To provide support of CIT:
·        Manage CIT projects to meet timeline.
·        Manage business or operations to install CIT.
·        Assist in development and update of implementation checklist to support CIT implementation.
·        Conduct CIT training for business or operations.
·        Plan and manage upgrade of hardware and/or software as dictated by Atherstone.
·        Ensure regular reviews are conducted to improve CIT performance (SLA, CIT KPIs).

Systems Support:

Support of Systems

To provide support of Systems:
·        Manage projects to meet timeline.
·        Assist in development of implementation framework to support (e.g. SDS) system implementation.
·        Liase with Atherstone to coordinate rollout of systems.
·        Maintain list of Atherstone contacts for the systems used in Singapore.
·        Communicate and update changes to users.
·        Plan and manage upgrade of hardware and/or software as dictated by Atherstone.
·        Ensure regular reviews are conducted to determine systems performance.
·        Ensure users access are granted and reviewed regularly to comply with security policy.

Local Application Support:

Support of Local Applications

To provide support of Local Applications:
·        Support projects to meet timeline.
·        Assist in developing local application architecture to support long term needs.
·        Assist in driving operation improvement through development of IT solutions.
·        Ensure local applications conform to the company's guidelines or policies.
·        Ensure proper documentation are created and updated regularly.
·        Ensure servers and data are properly stored and backup to meet business needs.
·        Ensure infrastructure is reviewed with Infrastructure team to support applications growth.
·        Ensure application recovery plan is tested to meet SLA.

Local IT Vendor Management

To review and manage local IT vendors to support the company.
·        Assist in identification and review of vendors performance and competitiveness regularly.
·        Review and update SLA with vendors to ensure optimal support for company.
·        Review and ensure maintenance contracts are updated.
·        Review and develop vendors to meet development framework and support SLA.
·        Review and manage vendors risk assessment and propose changes.
·        Ensure program codes are managed to be able to re-deploy to another site or separate vendor.



  • Minimum Diploma and above.
  • Singaporean/PRs only
  • More than 2 years experience in IT application support.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft development tools (e.g. .Net), Microsoft SQL, and CIT.
  • Experience in application development and support.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with China counterparts
  • IT skills:
·        Good hand-on experience in CIT, SDS
·        Good knowledge of VB .Net, MS SQL, MS SQL Reporting.
·        Good knowledge of logistics or shipping industries.
·        Good troubleshooting skill-sets in IT applications.
·        Good knowledge of IT development and project management.
  • Communication and Project Management:
·        Good communication written and verbal
·        Able to manage tasks or projects independently or under supervision.
·        Able to manage multiple projects.
