The National Institute of Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Educational Technologist in the Office of Teacher Education. This position is on a 3-year contract basis.

Requirements
A Polytechnic Diploma preferably in Infocom-related subjects.
Technically strong with good experience in developing websites and Google Sites.
Familiar with the use of Web 2.0 tools.
Possess good written and oral communication skills.
Possess some experience in integrating multimedia for web.
Responsibilities
The officer will take charge of the following:
Administer e-Portfolio system (Google Sites).
Coordinate with various Academic Groups and to set up Google Sites-hosted portfolios.
Create or update training guides at the e-Portfolio portal.
Coordinate e-Portfolio training: Tasks include booking of training rooms, monitoring online registration, attendance and collating feedback for training.
Provide training support on Google Site and other relevant e-tools.
Scan for emerging technologies and perform software evaluation for possible integration into Google Sites-based portfolios.
Help answer phone and email queries pertaining to e-Portfolio. Record and document any feedback from staff and students on use of the e-Portfolio.
Provide any and all necessary educational technology support to our users.
