Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Society and assisting the Head of Finance & Admin in planning & strategic matters of the nursing home.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Ensure smooth running of operations and compliance with regulatory guidelines, including supervising staff in the following functions:
Accounts
Human Resource
Admin
Volunteer Coordination
Purchasing
Facilities, Maintenance & Safety
Transport
Kitchen
Assist the Head of Finance & Admin to review work processes and implement system and policy changes, new initiatives and improvements
Maintain and update documented policies and processes
Perform quarterly, half yearly and yearly reporting to regulatory authorities
Close liaison with Nursing Department and regulatory authorities
Represent the Society in external meetings or presentations
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy
Advantageous if possess experience in Human Resource and operational work
At least 10 years of working experience
Must be willing and able to multi-task due to wide ranging duties, need to be very hands-on
Good command of spoken and written English
Good communication skills and adept at handling human relations, as need to meet people from many walks of life
Good team player, patient and able to provide guidance to large team of staff
Keen interest to learn with positive working attitude
Interest to work in a charity, willing to attend to visitors/events during weekends when need be
