Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for working closely with the Hiring Departments, HR team and assisting Associate Director (HR) in functions associated with the implementing, following-up and tracking of the following initiatives for staff in the area of Learning & Career Development.
  • Set up and manage structured learning and development programs for all levels of Staff
    • Tailor ‘core’ and ‘supplementary’ courses
    • Organize training courses
    • Tracking of effectiveness of training programs vis-a-vis career development of staff          
  • Career Progression / Development for Admin Staff
    • Serve as a HR partner to Heads of Hiring Departments, assisting in ‘career path’ planning
    • Integrate training programmes with the career plan both procedurally and in practice
    • Manage the career planning process, including tracking of training attendance and collating of course feedback
    • Facilitate the Performance Management for the Staff
    • Work with ROs on succession planning (incorporating training and job exposure) for their reports
  • Career Progression / Development for Academic Staff
    • Facilitate faculty promotion / tenure / track conversions
    • Support Faculty Recruitment Committee for promotion and tenure cases for Faculty and Senior Research appointments
    • Implement a Mentoring Scheme for Junior Faculty
    • Track career progression and effectiveness of the Mentoring Scheme
  • Orientation Program for New Staff
    • Review/Update the Orientation materials and program for the different levels of staff
    • Organize specialized orientation programmes for new arrivals, catering to the needs of each of the hiring department
    • Monitor the effectiveness of the Buddy and/or Mentoring Scheme assigned to the new staff
  • Organizational Health Task Force Initiatives
    • Assist the Associate Director (HR) in all follow-up on the HR-led Initiatives to be rolled out, and be involved in the planning and execution of these initiatives and the School’s HR events, e.g. auditing and documenting of E&P and Non-Academic staff job descriptions
    • Work closely with the task force members who are in-charge of the various initiatives, e.g. Community Service Project; Career Development; staff welfare activities



  • Possess a Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, with at least 5 years of Learning and Career Development experience
  • Possess People Developer Certificate is highly advantageous
  • Prior experience from Education / Public Sector is highly advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel functions
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills as well as strategic thinking abilities
  • Hands-on, resourceful, self-driven and customer-focused
  • A dynamic team player
  • Must be meticulous and good with numbers
  • Streamline current HR processes for improvement
  • Open to Singaporean & Singapore PR only
