Job Descriptions

The successful candidate will assist in the consolidation and managing the financial accounts of a group of companies. Duties involve managing the financial accounting and reporting processes (including budgeting and statutory reporting) and reviewing financial and management controls and act as “trouble shooter” in tracking and resolving specific finance-related issues. Other responsibilities include identifying key initiatives relating to system/workflow enhancements, as well as ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, statutory requirements and group policies and procedures.

With the Group’s growing presence in the Asia Pacific region, this role also requires the successful candidate to work closely with the overseas subsidiaries’ finance teams in analysing business needs, developing and implementing business process initiatives across the group to support business growth. This will include (but not limited to) systems/workflow enhancements, development and refinement of reporting templates and processes, maintenance of internal controls, sharing of best practices, etc.


  • A graduate in Accountancy or related discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience including some years with an international accounting firm and preferably some commercial experience from the media industry
  • Well-versed and up-to-date with financial reporting standards and other statutory requirements
  • Prior experience in group consolidation
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP, Cognos TM1, Cognos BI Reporting will be an advantage
  • A good appreciation of business workflow processes, systems and internal controls
  • A meticulous, resourceful and highly-motivated team player who is able to meet challenging work demands and tight deadlines
  • Able to work well with people at all levels
