Job Description

Established since 2010, this innovative and fast moving business has already developed to be a niche market leader within the Skincare Products, Cosmetics, Beauty & Health Supplements sector. Now poised on the next phase of growth, it’s an extremely exciting time to join! Particularly so, for a commercially focused management professional with a forward thinking attitude, who is invited to join the Chief Executive Officer and work to maximize the potential of this venture in a wide and varied role!

Based from Singapore, the Chief Operating Officer will take responsibility for the following:

  • Management of all business functions
  • Business development, including strategic evaluation of market potential in Asia
  • Prospection and development of new customer accounts and ventures
  • New market entry, including co-ordination of regulatory requirements
  • Lead and grow the sales and marketing team
  • Setting sales and expense budgets country by country
  • Channel management and appointing most appropriate distribution partners
  • Performance management of distributors: coaching, forecasting, pricing, contracts, registration
  • Ongoing market, competitor and trend analysis
  • Identify and work with KOL’s across the region
  • Visiting clients to provide service excellence and gather feedback
  • Oversee all hiring and training of personnel
  • Management of finance and accounting
  • Achieve financial and sales budgets for key accounts in retail / pharmacy and GT channels

The Successful Applicant

This is an important role designed to lead the organization and its employees through the next phase of growth. As such, the organization has high expectations as to the background and qualifications of the applications to be considered. It is expected that applicants meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the role:

  • Good knowledge of Skincare, Beauty or Health Supplements sector
  • Balance of strategic thinking with the operational know how required to work in an SME
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution channels in Singapore and other markets in Asia
  • Experience in building and managing distributor / channel partnerships
  • Good communication and relationship management skills
  • People management experience
  • Complete fluency in English and ideally Mandarin or Cantonese
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, non-hierarchical and entrepreneurial ‘start up’ environment
