The Project Manager (for our client in the field of Food Production) is responsible to plan, execute, and finalize projects realized in multiple countries in accordance to strict safety standards, deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities
Ensure that the project will be completed and up with safety according to the scope, planning and budget.
Execute the project according to the Company’s rules and best practices.
Assist the Plant Manager in all issues regarding the project execution
Lead the team to achieve the project targets, with proper guidance and delegation.
Manage the contractors in order to assure safety and quality
Establish and implement procedure(s) and ensure that proper documentation is maintained /recorded.
Support operators and middle management selection and equip/train them for the plant operation.
Foster teamwork motivation and commitment with all aspects related to the project
Implement good technology and engineering practices in the plant.
Participate in meetings held by Asia Office for the project and prepare presentations and required speeches (as and when requested).
Liaise with local authorities for the project implementation.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Requirements
Degree holder in Civil / Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Post Graduate in Project Management Engineering.
Safety Management skills and PMI certification is desirable
Preferable previous experience with Project Management for a Soybean Crushing Facility construction
Have 10 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
Able to communicate in project location’s most commonly used language (desirable) and English fluently.
Good computer skills in Windows Office, MS-Project and AdvCAD
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative Environment is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Extensive traveling will be involved.
