Job Descriptions

Main duties

Assist Cooks in preparing all ingredients and in the actual cooking and food preparation

Ensure that dishing activities are carried out in accordance to the standard operating procedures

Receive and update meal and tableware orders to ensure that households receive the correct number of meals and tableware.

Ensure that all special requests are properly arranged and catered to meet residents’ needs

Ensure that all tableware is collected from households, properly washed and packed into the tubs for households at every meal.

Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen/food preparation environment and this includes the wall, floor, equipment and utensils

Clean kitchen/food preparation floor and wall, storage chiller and freezer, sink and equipment at the end of each shift

Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and observe all guidelines pertaining to the handling and preparation of food

Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

Minimum primary school education

Trained in Basic Food Hygiene

Good knowledge of food preparation and Halal awareness

Able to do shift work, including weekends and public holidays

Note: The Kitchen is a non-halal kitchen
