Our client, a global IT company is seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager, Procurement & Facilities to provide leadership and develop Procurement and Facilities functions and teams.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages strategic relationships eg. Telecommunications contracts, input to major bid teams etc to ensure projects are successfully completed.
  • Partners with Business Managers to drive and achieve operational objectives e.g. efficiency savings in accordance with plan targets.
  • Preparing and presenting financial forecasts in relation to developing the business unit/divisions’ future strategy.
  • Investment and spend cases provide accurate projections and positively impact bid and project decisions.
  • Manages strategic relationships eg. Complex premises investment cases, leases etc to ensure projects are successfully completed.
  • Investment / major spend cases provide accurate projections and positively impact bid and project decisions
  • Collating budgets, monitoring and reporting on performance in accordance with corporate standards and timelines.
  • Projects under direct control are completed on time, on budget and to customer expectations.
  • Lead ‘virtual’ teams as required and be a team contributor/ subject matter expert too as roles and circumstances require eg M&A, major bids
  • Manages and develops a team across multiple locations providing staff with appropriate level of support to enable them to meet team and individual objectives.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • 10 years in relevant experience being part of and leading a management team; supporting a complex business at executive and management levels.
  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Expertise in large scale outsourcing contract management, major bid proposals, major capital investment and business case evaluation.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking ability.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
