As a valued user of the STJobs website, you are advised to stay alert so as to prevent any cases of spam, fraud or abuse. While STJobs has taken great care in implementing measures to protect our users from such incidents, please be reminded to exercise caution during a job search.
Do familiarise yourself and be wary of common scams that include:
1) Work from Home
Such online job offers may not be legitimate and involve getting you to may a pre-payment or 'investment'. Be careful when dealing with such offers and recognise the difference between them and other genuine 'work from home' positions.
2) Spoofing/ phishing
Emails you receive like this may claim to be from STJobs or another employer/job agency. Along with a job offer, they will typically request that you send money or personal information to them. As it is not STJobs' policy to send out such emails, you are likely dealing with fraudsters. Always check for suspicious email addresses and domains that do not look official, and be prudent if you receive any instructions to download malicious software.
