Requirements

- Diploma in Human Resouces or Business Admin or equivalent
- 1 year of working experience, preferably in the education industry would be
advantageous
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

- Proactive and independent, with discretion and integrity when handling confidential

Responsibilities

Job Purpose
To be part of the HR Team and provide HR support to the team, in supporting the School’s overall mission and objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Casual and Part-time Teaching (PTT) Appointments
• Processing of paperwork and appointment letters
• Track all Casual Appointments; monitor their period of service and follow up with the
hiring department should they have an early release from their service
• Consolidate their casual claims and process their casual claims
• Collate a database on all Casual Appointments for tracking purposes
• Compile applications for new Undergrad or Graduate Researchers/Graduate Tutors
• Create new student records in the HR system
• Collate all timesheets submitted by the students, and prepare a monthly summary report
for submission to AM/M for verification and Director for approval. Submit all forms to
OFS for payment on a monthly basis.

- Other Administrative duties
• Maintain and update HR files and database
• Admin support associated with Faculty recruitment
• Verify invoices and payments made to individuals (i.e. honorarium, Contract for Services)
• Work with counterparts to ensure that HR system records are updated and accurate.
• Process and conduct arrival formalities for Academic Visitors appointments
• Support onboarding of staff such as booking of airfare and accommodation etc

- Any other duties as assigned by Associate Director (Human Resources).

 

 Experiences

-Diploma in HR or Business Admin from local polytechnic
