Assist Engineering Manager in making conceptual designs and proposals.
Lead and supervise designers and draftsmen.
Plan and supervise engineering works in piping and equipment installation.
Responsible for design calculations for storage tanks, sizing of equipments, pipe stress analyses including surge analysis, thermal stresses and pipe supports.
Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction or extraction projects.
Assist the Site Managers / Site Engineers in resolution of technical site problems.
Knowledge in International codes & Standards like ASME (ASME Sec VIII Div: 1, ASME B 31.3, ASME B 16.5, ASME B16.47, ASME B16.9), API 60, ANSI, AWWA, BS, IEC, NEMA, Singapore Law & MOM Directives and Statutory requirements etc.)
PD 5500, TEMA etc as applied to Mechanical (Static) Equipment in Oil & Gas Industry.
Knowledge of Mechanical equipment design package PV Elite, Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and also familiar with drafting packages like AutoCAD, PDMS.
Preparation of technical specifications/MR of equipments, Data Sheets.
Review client’s specifications, sourcing, review and evaluate vendor’s proposal/quotations.
Prepare and modify mechanical design basis and provide guidelines for detailed engineering.
Prepare mechanical standards and specifications for use on the project.
Assist with the review and provide comments on key mechanical engineering project documents including mechanical equipment list, mechanical date sheets, mechanical bid documents, equipments selection etc.
Review selection of type, model and manufacturer of mechanical equipment to minimize project capital cost and schedule while maximizing facility reliability and maintainability.
Recommended selection of mechanical equipment alternatives using independent judgement that complies with project standards and goals.
Evaluation of client and vendor’s technical specifications, verify engineering submissions according to client’s specifications, prepare equipment spec. and data sheets for rotating & static and package equipments.
Technical & commercial bid analysis.
Liaise with client, vendors and Implementation Contractor for engineering related issues.
Knowledge of construction & manufacturing of static equipment, internals & platforms-ladders.
Assist with cross discipline coordination of mechanical equipment review
A team player with good communication, interpersonal and analytical skill.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
Required skill(s): AutoCad 2d.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
(from oil and gas industry will be an advantage)
Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
