Mobility, Immigration & Relocation Specialist (Asia)


Responsibilities:
The individual provides guidance to line managers, site HR, process partners (not limited to Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Tax) and assignees around   mobility policies and processes. This position requires a desire to work with different levels of employees and management, along with various cultures.
Provide end to end assignment support : expatriation, on-going maintenance and repatriation
Assist with preparation and communication of assignment costs projection
Assist to complete assignment documentation (Letter of Assignment)
Conducts assignee briefing by providing information on related policies, benefits and pay package calculations. Provide information/support to family members as requested
Maintains single contact with assignees over the duration of the assignment. Monitors and implement changes (e.g. base salary, family size) and ensure effective communication with the assignee
Resolve employee issue escalations and manage exceptions requests
Co-ordination of mobility compensation updates (COLA) including tax compliance and tax equalization
Liaise with external services providers (not limited to relocation services, tax agents) and oversee their performance against SoW/SLA
Ensure compliance of   mobility policies, processes and all regulatory requirements (immigration, tax and social security)
Provide guidance/mentoring to specific country/site HR, Finance
Be a Country Expert for assigned country/countries and share knowledge and expertise including proactive input for Knowledge Database
Provide mobility subject matter expertise to specific countries within the Asia region
Accountable for building effective working relationship with the key stakeholders
Stay abreast of local regulatory changes (immigration, tax and social security) and maintain an understanding of mobility trends within designated countries within the Asia region
Identify opportunities in areas such as policy enhancement, process improvement and effective reporting to the key stakeholders
Ad hoc projects

Requirements:
3 to 5 years experience in end to end assignment management
Full understanding of expatriate compensation (COLA and tax equalization)
Knowledge of expatriate tax (Singapore income tax and tax equalization)
Experience working in a virtual and multi-national team
High level of tact and ability to handle sensitive compensation and financial information
Good communication skills (both oral and written)
Able to communicate effectively cross-culturally and to all levels of employees
Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and to interface effectively within and cross-functionally in a team environment
Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, escalation management skills
Able to work in a time-sensitive environment, strong sense of urgency
Able to work under pressure
Quality driven, results-oriented, attention to details
Awareness of quality control, risks and compliance issues
