Job - Objective / Position Description:

  • This job contributes to Koufu success by leading the new product development

    (NPD) through concept-implementation, product development & launch, quality and packaging.

  • Understand customers’ needs and develop clear NPD plans which will drive the


  • Responsible for overall preparation and development of NPD
  • Collate, Review and Interpret market data / trends and transform these into tangible

    new product, new packaging ideas and concepts in conjunction with procurement

    and sourcing.

  • Poject manage all NPD process.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business with new and existing outlets.
  • Ensure all NPD related materials are in good condition and in uniformity with

    organization’s requirements.

  • Manage all aspects of NPD to support the Company's rapid and profitable growth.

Required to-DO (Key Result Areas & Activities)

1. Planning & Budgeting

  • Participate in existing new market analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies and plans for the Brand/Company and execute strategies to achieve established goals.
  • Partner with various HODs/FBM to work out the yearly development plan to ensure it meets to Organization’s expansion and financial objectives.
  • Strategize, conceptualize and coordinate all product & development activities for the calendar year.
  • Participates in investment analysis, budget management and general upkeep of NPD portfolio.
  • Collaborate with respective HOD/FBM and take lead in NPD creation, selection, packaging design and operational turnover of new product in assigned area.
  • Implement processes and manage reduction of NPD costs which relate to R&D, etc.

2. New Product Development & Execution

  • Manage the NPD process based on least cost best value principle.
  • Responsible for sourcing and identifying ingredients and/or suppliers for each project and obtain Purchasing/HOD endorsement for engagement of such suppliers.
  • Develop product development plan, scope and deliverables for each project to ensure the plan is synchronized with the Organization’s budget and objectives.
  • Manage execution of product development and review progress to ensure that it is carried out within the established timeline and cost.
  • Manage and ensure all NPD materials (by supplier or in-house) are at adequate inventory level.

3. NPD Communication Materials

  • Prepare, communicate and educate internal team on NPD before launch.
  • Implement SOP and standard for future use.

4. Partner Relationship

  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure that all the necessary materials and resources are available within the timeline.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal parties (including Gourmet & Delijoy factories) to ensure the execution of new product development timeline.
  • Perform any other additional responsibilities as assigned by the Immediate Superior.
