Job Overview & Description:

The Company is to recruit a Transaction / Investigative Analyst to work as part of a team responsible for investigating transactions made via the online store, throughout the APAC region with a focus on transactions originating from Japan. The role is based at regional headquarters in Singapore,

The Transaction Analyst / Investigative Analyst role is tasked with evaluating global events flagged for review by establishedonline store risk strategies. This evaluation is performed through the use of various validation tools, understanding and application of known patterns, and identification of new patterns to make quick decisions with a high rate of accuracy.

The person in this role will contribute to the strategic development of the broader team through his or her insights and ad hoc investigations. The Investigative Analyst is expected to adhere to platform-wide Key Performance Indicators to ensure decisions are made balancing factors such as risk tolerance and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply business knowledge, awareness of known risk patterns, and use of various validation tools to make accept/reject decisions on online store consumer and commercial transactions;

  • Use platform tools to prevent subsequent bad behavior;

  • Identification and analysis of fraudulent patterns;

  • Propose preventative measures, process enhancements, and improved tool functionality;

  • Work with Customer Support to resolve escalations;

  • Adhere to platform KPIs related to accuracy, decision time, and productivity

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ year experience with e-commerce and card-not-present environments (or similar), working within a MNC / large enterprise environment
  • Experience analyzing large amounts of data
  • Experience with process and systems tools
  • Meticulous, able to multi-task with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge and experience with fraud analysis and prevention a plus, but not essential
  • Ability to deal comfortably with daily recurring tasks
  • Good written, reading and oral communication skills in English and Japanese is required. (This role requires extensive liaison with customers and partners across the APAC region, focusing on Japan.)
  • Ability to make decisions with speed and confidence
  • Self-motivated, strong team player
  • Knowledge of MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
