Job Descriptions


  • Manage overall site purchasing activities, develop and implement procurement strategy, formal process and policies; Coordination with purchasing departments of the Group
  • Define and implement KPI’s; Identifying and implementing savings and cost containment initiatives Ensuring of cost effective purchases
  • Assist in review of contracts
  • Supplier relationship management; evaluate and qualify new suppliers; build effective and strategic partnerships
  • Ensure supplier quality and compliance with site and company requirements for safety; credit check run on supplier when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to actively contribute to overall site performance (Finance, Marketing, PR, Sales, Aftersales, IT, Admin, MD’s Office); Coordination and Bundling of Departments demands
  • Manage tender process (in collaboration with Marketing and PR departments) to ensure that the principles of open competition, fairness and transparency in the selection and evaluation of vendors are applied. Review purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of required goods and/or services
  • Business review and comparison of quotations; Negotiate price, payment terms & conditions with supplier
  • Negotiate framework agreements (in collaboration with other departments)
  • Monitor delivery process (adherence of delivery terms, quality, invoicing)
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
  • Market monitoring; Implement plans to react on
  • Manage purchasing system. Collaborate with IT department on troubleshooting and improvements of the existing purchasing and contract management system
  • Checking of travel and monthly claims in accordance to policies; forwarding claims to authorisers for approval; submission of claims for payment processing
  • And any ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned by General Manager, Finance & Admin; or Managing Director from time to time.


  • Relevant Business/Commercial Degree, preferably related to procurement/ purchasing management or equivalent business studies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing; comprehensive knowledge in strategic procurement
  • Experience in project management
  • International Experience will be given preference, especially working experience in an international and cross- functional team is considered as a strong asset
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and lead an international and multi- functional team
  • Superior analytical, organizational, accounting, reporting and data analysis skills; creative and pragmatic in solving problems
  • Pro-active, enjoying taking initiative, multi-tasking, flexible,  ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and a persuasive personality
  • Excellent English skills; German or other Languages are an asset
  • Good Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Good understanding of purchasing/ procurement systems
