About Our Client

Our client is a global food manufacturer with a regional office in Singapore

Job Description

As the QA Manager, you will be providing leadership in developing and implementing a Food Safety and Quality Management system along with the following responsibilities:

  • Supervise and verify that all Quality and Food Safety programs are in place in all current co-manufacturing facilities
  • Lead and facilitate the follow up with Contract Manufacturing plants to correct and strengthen audit gaps, incorporating third party audit deficiencies
  • Ensure that all products produced at a co-manufacturer are in compliance requirement
  • Lead Food Safety & Quality incidents investigation, analysis and reporting
  • Provide initial assessment and recommendation on Co-Manufacturing, Suppliers and Distribution Centers approval process
  • Support innovation, including ingredient approval process and act as the key Food Safety contact
  • Support development projects around innovation, cost innovation, business continuity and supply chain requests to be implemented in new or current co-manufacturer(s)Develop and maintain effective working relationships with business partners and Contract Manufacturers
  • Ensure that Product Quality Measures for all sites are tracked and reported to Asia Regional QA, Section Head and global technical teams
  • Support internal audits and QA capability improvements audits on Contract Manufacturers and suppliers

The Successful Applicant

As the QA Manager, you will require the following credentials to be successful for the position:

  • Bachelor degree in Food Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in food safety
  • Possess strong knowledge in food safety and HACCP guidelines
  • Good understanding in microbiological testing, process validation, sanitation and sanitary design, chemical control and quality management systems including food processing and controls
  • Able to function effectively and independently to provide quality oversight
