This is a newly created role as part of the business expansion activities across Asia-Pacific.
Our client is a US-listed Multinational leader in the Healthcare sector with a growth focus in Asia-Pacific region. They are currently looking for a high-calibre Financial Controller with strong consolidation background to be part of their growing business to manage the overall APAC controllership functions here in Singapore.
Reporting directly to the Regional Finance Director for the region, you are responsible for the overall APAC controllership functions including month end closing, audit, tax, internal controls compliance with SOX framework. You are the technical accounting expert responsible for all APAC entities to ensure that the financial/management reporting are in accordance to US GAAP/IFRS/local GAAP standards. You will be required to set up the process for regional consolidation for entities within APAC for group reporting to management and statutory purposes on a quarterly basis. You will be a key business partner to the operations in driving growth for the organization including providing support for M&A activities. Adhoc support for regional projects will be necessary.
Ideally, you are a Degree qualified CA/CPA, with at least 10 to 15 years of post-graduation experience with the initial years in Big 4 / external audit firms. You possess good understanding of consolidation and demonstrates a good appreciation of the different accounting standards in APAC. Experience in US MNC and US GAAP will be good to have but not necessary. You are independent and motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills would also be essential for the vibrant organization.
