Responsibilities
The incumbent is in a privilege position to shape Postgraduate Medical Education in in organization. He/She is the Program Director’s key administrator and plays an important role in supporting all administrative functions in relation to the Postgraduate Education Program of the Department.
1) To support the Operations and Development of the Postgraduate Program in the Department
- Serve as primary educational contact person for the Division/Department
- Assist Program Director with continual development of program and curriculum
- Assist Program Director to develop and manage trainee competency portfolios
- Track duty hours, monitor and document compliance
- Track all evaluations, monitor and document compliance
- Maintain documentation of all Training Records
- Others
- Process claims in relation to education matters
- Schedule meetings
- Organize events to promote team bonding amongst residents and faculty
2) To support and ensure successful ACGME-I Accreditation
- Understand and keep abreast of ACGME-I requirements for institutional, core and program and/or subspecialty
- Assist Program Director to implement and document new initiatives as directed by the ACGME-I
- Complete and/or facilitate annual required surveys eg. ACGME-I resident survey, specialty board surveys
- Prepare annual Program Letter of Agreements (PLA) with participating institutions
- Coordinate completion of Program Information Form (PIF)
- Organize internal review with the Central GME Office
- Coordinate both site visits on pre-review and the actual site visit
Requirements
- A Degree from a recognized institution
- At least 2 years of relevant working experiences
- Excellent EQ
- Competent writing skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Work well under pressure and independently
