Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a passion for Internet development. You will join a team of talented people working at the cutting edge of digital media, particularly in the area of online publishing. You will be involved in the design, development, testing, maintenance and support of web-based applications.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Good knowledge of best practices and trending web technologies for new media
  • 3 years of frontend and backend development experience using CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, Media Queries,  Ajax, Drush, PHP, Json APIs, MySQL. Knowledge of responsive HTML5 frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap and techniques is an advantage
  • 2 years of experience developing solutions with Drupal web architecture, Drupal theming, common module configuration and custom module development
  • Must be comfortable in code-deployment workflows and source management tools (Git)
  • Ability to create basic perl and shell scripts on Linux
  • Has strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think creatively and respond quickly in a highly dynamic environment
  • Is a team player who is proactive, has passion for technology, is motivated to learn new skills and methodologies and and enjoys the opportunity to excel
  • Knowledge in the following areas are a plus :

- 1 year working as a Drupal System Administrator with technologies that make large-size Drupal sites perform well, including Varnish, Memcache, APC, CDN solutions;
- Familiarity with setup, configuration, performance diagnostics/tuning and use of tools such as Git and Drush;
- Experience in applying, testing and deploying Drupal core and contributed module updates
- Familiarity and experience with agile development (e.g. SCRUM, Lean Startup approach)
