Launched in 1935, Tamil Murasu is Singapore's only Tamil language newspaper. Tamil Murasu is the main information source for the Tamil-speaking Indian community with its coverage of wide-ranging news, from current affairs to local and foreign news as well as the latest in sports and entertainment, in addition to its strong coverage on news from the Indian community and the sub-continent. The newspaper has established itself as a voice for the Tamil-speaking community in Singapore. The newspaper is looking to hire :


Sub Editor


Job Description


As  a Sub Editor you will  be required to give nice turn of phrases and coin catchy headlines and snappy captions. You will ensure accuracy and error free news articles with imaginative display of photographs with the news stories. The role will see you working in the shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm under daily deadlines.




We are looking for individuals who are proficient in Tamil and who would have prior experience working with Tamil language as a translator or a teacher. You must be able to work under daily deadlines but retain the physical and mental stamina in a dynamic environment.
