Responsibilities

  • You will manage a team in the development, implementation and maintenance of business application systems used in the company

  • You will be responsible for solution and design reviews, integration and data approach, release management methodology, fit/gap analysis of product capabilities, adoption approach, and best practices related to use selected product

  • You will manage all phases of the application development life cycle, ensuring that project scope, schedule and deliverables are met

  • You will liaise and work with vendors to drive project schedule and deliverables

 

Requirements

  • IT or equivalent degree from a reputable university

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in application development environment, with at least 3 years in project lead capacity.  Experience in vendor management will be an advantage

  • Extensive experience in preparing infrastructure architecture design, landscape designs, creating diagrams and writing technical specification documents

  • Advanced experience writing configuration documents, preparing technical and functional specification documents

  • Experience in application development on the PHP and Java platforms, using relational database

  • Advanced experience creating and supporting custom web services

  • Demonstrated proficiency with in the supporting the following applications: Cognos BI software, Point of Sales System, Supply Chain Management System, CRM System, Sales Order Processing System

  • Highly independent and resourceful

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills to manage project team, software vendors and end users

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Team player

  • A planner with strong facilitation skills
