HOW’S THE JOB?
IKEA sales team leaders do more than increase sales and profit within their respective home furnishing business (HFB) areas. They have a good understanding of the IKEA business, range priorities, the market, and the customers’ living situations.
We want to fill this vacant position with an extremely commercial and customer focused enthusiast with a proven strong value based leadership and service-oriented mind with customers’ best interest at heart and cost conscious in knowing that everything has a price tag.
Supporting the Shopkeeper, you seek sales maximization in your area of responsibility using knowledge of your HFBs, local market and your customers, as well as the IKEA tools and leveraging on the experience of your co-workers.
Leading your respective HFB area, you are to oversee the general maintenance of the HFB area and strong commercial basics level at all times and support the efficient working of the IKEA mechanical sales system to ensure the continued success of the IKEA Concept. You are required to work actively with ranges changes and commercial activities, ensuring that top selling products are stocked sufficiently and clearly communicated and displayed at all times.
As the team leader, you are also responsible to monitor your man-hours and ensure that your HFB is properly staffed with trained and qualified co-workers at all times.
WHO ARE YOU?
You have 2 years in high volume or multi-unit retail management experience. Self-motivated and results driven, you must have a genuine interest and knowledge of home furnishing and the desire to bring out the best in co-workers in serving the customers’ needs and growing the Company’s business.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, living the IKEA values and able share your knowledge and learning with other co-workers to create an environment that is centered on that.
Ability and flexibility in supporting retail peak period in evenings, weekends and/or public holidays is required.
