Position Description:

  • Provide technical oversight and assistance in areas of Line and Base Maintenance to customers’ aircraft maintenance providers of the 777 fleet
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting assistance to customers’ aircraft maintenance providers for chronic discrepancies
  • Liaise with Boeing Fleet Technical Management Engineering to resolve in-service difficulties
  • Provide recommendations on maintenance for out-of-service aircraft
  • Create and maintain procedures to be performed by customers’ aircraft maintenance providers for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and ensure that the results of all routine and non-routine activities are entered into the tech log book
  • Provide leadership and general direction to customers' maintenance aircraft providers
  • Take responsibility for the quality, cost, and delivery of all heavy aircraft maintenance performed at Fleet Management location
  • Assist in the development of new or revised Boeing Fleet Management policies and programs, as required, for the purpose of achieving Boeing Fleet Management objectives
  • Monitor contract fulfillment to ensure that all vendors are operating within contract requirements in areas such as cost, delivery schedule, and quality
  • Coordinate gate maintenance activities - which may impact scheduled flight operations - with customers
  • Coordinate the clearance of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL) deferrals with customers
  • Coordinate with Boeing Fleet Management Maintenance Planning to develop adequate short- and long-range maintenance requirements to ensure adequate capacity and quality for Vendor Maintenance
  • Communicate dispatch issues that may impact scheduled maintenance activities to Boeing Fleet Management Services and customers
  • Manage other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


  • At least 10 years’ airline/MRO-related experience, with a working knowledge and good understanding of planning and executing commercial airline line and base maintenance operations
  • Possess SAR 66 or an equivalent license, with a 747-400 maintenance type rating and at least 6 years’ experience in type
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess a readiness to make decisions and work in a team environment
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and structure tasks and information
