Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Training Manager is the key person who assists in driving strategies pertaining to people learning and training within all departments of the stores. The responsibilities includes conceptualise and design effective training programmes and align them with the Company training plan, strategic objectives and budget.
  • Assist the General Manager and Human Resources Manager for the Company ISO certification and yearly renewals.
  • Identify, develop and review training programs and educational materials on a half-yearly basis accordingly to the Company’s strategy.
  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis of the Company to identify and determine training needs.
  • Responsible for the training budget and effectively optimize the budget for high performance training.
  • Responsible for the induction training, operations trainings, leadership and soft skills training for the frontline retail staff.  
  • Implement and conduct on-site training and field coaching for our frontline staff for all business categories.
  • Work with Department Heads to develop, review and update “on job training” schedules to meet department operating objectives.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with the review, update and creation of Policy and Procedures of the Human Resources and Training Department whenever necessary
  • Liaise with institution for Internship programs.
  • Handle operational and administration duties related to human resources development activities such as motivational activities, employee relations, staff retention and corporate social responsibilities etc.
  • Provide support on ad hoc HR projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years training experience, with retail experience A MUST
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in developing and conducting training programmes in particular customer service and selling skills
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels and able to work independently
  • Good presentation, communication facilitation and interpersonal skills
