Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Key Accountabilities
* Technical Leadership: Guide team development towards successful project delivery and provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
* In-house Capability: Maintain high standards of automation, CI/CD within the team by establishing good practices and tools while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
* People Leadership: Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team

* Collaborate with Development, Architecture/Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations at all levels to foster successful partnerships critical to the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated/continuous delivery solutions
* Lead and mentor a growing DevOps team
* Provide technical direction for activities in all tiers of the DevOps solution, including the orchestration/automation of system configuration, application deployment, application configuration, performance engineering and cloud deployments/management
* Understand delivery requirements, identify process and knowledge gaps and work to bridge them
* Clearly understand business and technology dependencies and work with cross-functional teams to assist in delivering products in a timely manner
* Produce and maintain technical project plans

* 8+ years’ hands-on experience in Systems Engineering/DevOps
* 2+ years' experience in a Lead role
* Experience in working on a Windows and/or Linux production platform, running Web Services (IIS, Apache, etc) with a strong knowledge of Linux
* Skills in identifying recurring design issues and implement automatic response
* Strong experience with either automation frameworks (ex Chef or Ansible) and configuration management
* Basic Linux admin skills, Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Gradle, containers like Docker or rkt
* Highly proficient with git (not afraid to cherry-pick or squash)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
