President Tony Tan Keng Yam, Chief Scout of Singapore, yesterday watching some scouts clean a door at the Istana, where he launched the Singapore Scout Association's annual Job Week, which takes place from March 16 to 22 this year.

Some 10,000 scouts will go door to door seeking jobs in homes and offices. They aim to raise $810,000 for scout activities such as camps and an international jamboree.

The Royal Thai Embassy and the Heritage Car Club of Singapore will jointly hold a car wash on Sunday, when 20 cub scouts will wash the cars of embassy staff and car club members.
