Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which is conferring bachelor and higher degrees on 9,141 students over the next seven days in its annual Convocation, said that two in three graduates this year have secured jobs even before graduation.

"The class of 2014 are seeing bright employment prospects in an optimistic job market", it said in a statement today, adding that some received multiple job offers.

It said that "internships have proven to give graduates an edge" to land attractive full-time jobs.

This year, 6,108 NTU students will receive their Bachelor's degrees, 2,462 will receive their Master's degrees, and 571 will get their Doctorate degrees.
