MORE than 400 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across multiple industries in Singapore will benefit from better access to technology innovations and new digital marketing channels, thanks to Spring Singapore's five new collaborative industry projects (CIPs) announced by Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck on Thursday.
Three of the five projects are a result of collaboration between Spring and A*Star. They will enhance SMEs' access to technology innovation, helping the businesses adopt radio frequency and identification (RFID) and image recognition technologies.
The other two projects, launched by Spring and two private-sector industry partners, will help SMEs boost their sales, marketing and customer engagement capabilities. One project will provide heartland SMEs with an integrated IT solution and technical training to harness the growing online-to-offline mobile marketing trend. Another will see Digital Influence Lab provide training and consultancy to help SMEs build in-house digital marketing capabilities to reach new customers and markets.
SMEs which participate in these projects can be supported by Spring for up to 70 per cent of the qualifying adoption costs.
