SINGAPORE - Around 500 jobs will be on offer at the STJobs Career and Development Fair this weekend.

Multi-national and local companies will be represented along with the civil service at the free event at Marina Bay Sands Expo Halls D & E.

Some 100 booths run by employers such as the Republic of Singapore Navy, DBS Bank, Singapore Institute of Management and Gardens by the Bay will offer vacancies in industries ranging from finance and information technology to retail and education.

Jobseekers can benefit from free services such as makeovers, career coaching and a psychometric tool which suggests jobs suited to users personalities.

A lucky draw will be held at 6pm on both days of the fair, giving away prizes worth $4,000.

Singapore Press Holdings Digital Division head Julian Tan said: "While employers need to be creative in the ways they recruit the right talent, employees too need to continually equip themselves with the right skills, in order to achieve the career progression that they aspire for."

Only Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents can participate on Saturday, while Sunday is open to all. The fair is open from 10am to 7pm on both days.
