Effects that would result from climate change are now occurring. With rising temperatures, more intense heat waves and accelerated seas level, have you consider a change in your lifestyle?
The people at REC has been introducing the notion to go solar for 20 years. Through integrated manufacturing from polysilicon to wafers, cells, panels and turnkey solar solutions, the leading European brand of solar panels strives to help meet the world’s growing energy needs. Founded in 1996, REC is a Bluestar Elkem company with headquarters in Norway and operational headquarters in Singapore.
REC is a talent magnet and 90% of the 2,000 global employees are based in Singapore. In 2015, REC produced over 4.5 million solar panels at this state-of-the-art automated factory, operating non-stop 24/7. This is a fully integrated operation, from silicon wafers, to cells and solar panels. Its annual production covers an area of 7km2 – equal to all of the HDB rooftop space in Singapore. To date, REC has built a total of 5 GW of solar panel power in Singapore. That would be enough to supply 90% of Singapore’s residential energy demand on an average day.
