Senior/Software Engineer, Sensetime International

This position is responsible for software development of Sensetime solutions/products working closely with teams in China/Singapore. He/she will also be involved in both regional and local software development and implementation of large scale projects.

The right candidate must be technically strong and well-versed in programming. He/she will be involved in innovative, state-of-the-art technology development in the field of AI.

Responsibilities:

He/She will be a critical member of the team, responsible for the designing, architecturing and development of a high-performance, high-availability, scalable distributed intelligent vision solutions/products leveraging on AI technology to customer.

• Involved in requirement analysis, application designing, testing, troubleshooting and developed code for software components.
• To ensure that the codes developed are systematically tested, properly maintained and documented in accordance to company’s development guidelines and quality assurance policies.
• Properly maintained and update the various specifications. For example, functional specification, test specification, operation specification, etc.
• Involved in pre-sales and engage in proof-of-concept conceptualization.
• Involved in project delivery and typical the projects involved are high profile, challenging and offer good career prospects. The coverage will include both Singapore and Overseas opportunities. Some travelling is required (minimum 15-20%)

Skills:

• Minimum of 2-5 years working experience for software engineer and more than 5 years for senior software engineer.
• Working experiences in the architecture and implementation of open source components such as K8S, Docker, Golang, Kafka, Zookeeper, Mysql, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis/Memcache, Netty, etc.
• Exceptional skilled in using the scripting language Python/Shell for programming work
• Strong foundation in J2EE Framework, AngularJS, Vue, React, SpringMVC, MyBatis, XML, JSON, RESTful, etc. are preferred.
• Familiar with Linux operating system and network knowledge.
• Involved in at least 1 software development cycle and familiar in SDLC or agile project implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skill.
• Team player with the ability to work cross functionally and to work with all levels of staff.
• Must have a positive attitude, team player, energetic and passionate with technology.
• Ability to work independently, reliable, self-discipline, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be innovative and drive continuous improvement.
• To be successful in this role he/she must be an independent, self-starter and have a positive attitude towards learning business, operation and industry concepts.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• Candidates with a relevant IT diploma and working experiences may also apply.
• Strong English language is mandatory; Fluency in Mandarin is desired.
