Job Role

• Conceptualise, plan and execute events for The Straits Times, based on requirements, objectives and target audience
• Ideate new ways to enhance events and make it more successful
• Develop campaigns to engage existing and new audiences
• Work with internal stakeholders (editorial, sales, operations, etc) to drive events deliverables and external vendors to execute events efficiently 
• Work in tandem with the respective teams to ascertain targets and ensure sponsor agreements are fulfilled
• Manage project from start-to-finish (such as planning, scheduling, budgeting and sourcing venues and vendors, marketing, etc)
• Ensure events are compliant with policies and guidelines
• Develop the marketing and communication plans for the respective events
• Be present on-site to run the event and to ensure operational efficiencies

• A diploma or university degree
• At least 7 years experience in events management 
• Fluent in English
• Has excellent communications skills with an eye for details
• Has a good attitude, initiative, and is a go getter 
• Works well in a fast-paced environment 
• Has good critical thinking and problem solving abilities 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
