Assistant Manager/Manager/ Senior Manager (Branding & Marketing), ST Events

Job Description

  • Strategise and conceptualise the branding and marketing campaigns for The Straits Times

  • Spearhead the digital marketing effort for The Straits Times' events and content offerings 

  • Develop and execute the integrated marketing plans

  • Work and coordinate with internal stakeholders within The Straits Times and divisions within SPH to strategise, plan and execute the marketing and branding campaigns

  • Oversee the artwork needed for all campaigns and ensure compliance to brand identity guidelines and regulations

  • Develop initiatives on fit-for-use toolkits and copy for all platforms - including print, digital i-banners, social content etc

  • Develop and implement plans to engage with mainstream and social media audiences using the various platforms, so as to build awareness, reach and revenues

  • Proactively engage internal stakeholders to develop high quality, creatively-written material for internal and/or public distribution

  • Coordinate partnerships with external stakeholders, and execute the deliverables

  • Gather and analyse audience and customer insights to contribute to the growth of the brands

  • Engage in ad-hoc responsibilities and/or projects as needed to assist in the continuous growth of the team and division

  • Be responsible for event, partnership and other marketing communications activities

  • Manage creative and digital agencies & work with internal SPH divisions for ST's signature events and campaigns - this may include programmatic ads, GDN, YouTube advertising, influencer marketing. Work with search specialist - SEO & SEM for campaigns

  • Be savvy in technological developments that would better assist in the digital marketing strategies

  • Be aware of current and emerging digital design trends and innovation

  • Must have knowledge of the importance of web usability, accessibility & standards

  • Sound understanding of fundamental UX & UI principles
  • Work with team members to manage events

Job Requirements

  • Degree preferably in Marketing, Mass Communications or Business Management

  • At least 6 years of related experience in brand promotions and events management

  • Ability to set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on every project
  • Strong communication skills with an eye for details
  • Responsible for all project budgets from start to finish
  • Good conceptualisation, analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player and able to multi-task and is hands-on
