Job Description

This position provides support to the U.S. Commercial Office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participates in planning, organizing and implementing trade missions, trade shows, visits and conduct smaller-scale market research projects. 
  • Perform scope-of-work requirements for commercial clients, arrange one-on-one meetings with potential business partners and government officials, organize seminars and briefings, and promotional activities. 
  • Identifies and contacts local companies for business matches for participating U.S. firms, prepares information kits for event participants and assists U.S. and Singapore representatives at the meeting sites, prepares welcome kits for U.S. exhibitors and arranges one-on-one meetings at trade event.  
  • Maintains database records and contributes to post website, blogs or other promotional tools. 
  • Covers infrastructure and digital infrastructure sectors in Singapore and all aspects of the functions indicated above including writing market research, the recruitment for and attendance at Trade Event Partnership Program (TEPP) trade shows. 
  • Serves as an office assistant and provides back up support to the ASEAN regional expert on operational IT related matters and the budget/administrative work.   

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time post secondary study (or the equivalent hours spread across a part-time study period) at college or university or other equivalent post secondary education is required.
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in business, government or NGOs in the fields of marketing, trade promotion, economics, international trade or similar field required.
  • Fluent English oral and excellent English writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, research, analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to skillfully manage multiple projects, events and activities.
  • Competence in MSOffice software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and information management databases.
