Singapore Press Holdings is hiring an experienced Content Strategist to collaborate with the Content Solutions team to bring campaigns to live. The incumbent will have excellent written communication skills and an eye for creating meaningful stories and see through to execution. Editorial experience in a news industry coupled with digital, content and video vertical strengths will be a plus. You will have strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests and prioritize workload. The candidate should have solid understanding of all SPH Content Shop Owners (SWEET, Newsroom, Magazines, Subsidiaries & Partners) and SPH’s audiences, offerings and capabilities.
Lead on client content briefs, conceptualize and forming innovative, relevant and commercially viable content proposition and developing appropriate distribution and amplification strategies for assigned sectors.
Utilize SPH, external market / audience/ brand insights and emerging trends in topics and formats to ideate creatively and form original, relevant and commercially viable content propositions tapping into shared services (studios, editors, videographers, talent pool)
Manage the creation of assets for all content shops: ensure that each story, launch, and detail is accounted on set and delivered on time.
Conceptualize, brainstorm ideas and strategies for new content - bespoke / custom creation and campaigns
Work collaboratively with Content Solutions Sales, Content Solutions Sales Planning, Agency Partnership and Media Solutions team to ensure proposed content meet the objectives of the client
Be an integral part in the selling process and act as creative advisor and brand strategy expert
Attend regular client meetings to report and discuss campaign performance as required
Drive campaigns to grow audience engagement and following across touch points
Optimizing for performance in accordance to the client’s KPIs
Provide varying levels of reporting on a biweekly/monthly basis to Content Solutions Sales Managers on active campaigns in preparation for QBR with the advertisers
At least 6 to 8 years of proven content solutions experience in the media/content industry
Passionate about content/media and its application to commercial needs
Able to formulate sales strategies, drive them effectively and analyze data
Depth of experience in leading and coaching
Clear ability to play well on a team
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills that encompass strong persuasive techniques
Strong listening/negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain business relationships with advertisers
