On top of that, Home & Decor also garners a robust following through its social media platforms, making it a highly regarded brand in the local media landscape.

Home & Decor’s main target audience is design-loving homeowners in Singapore looking for ways to beautify their domains, as well as savvy shoppers who want to know what are the latest in home appliances, reno materials and styling ideas for spaces big and small.

We are seeking a social-media-savvy digital editor to create, lead and manage quality digital content for Home & Decor Singapore.

 

DIGITAL EDITOR

 The Digital Editor’s role is to increase engagement to new and existing audience  segment groups through Home & Decor’s digital and social media platforms, as well as monitor, manage and analyse the platforms’ daily performance. He/She should be able to use the data available to create a successful digital strategy to help the brand reach its goals.

The Digital Editor will produce engaging online content, video, and e-newsletters for the website, as well as work with the team to facilitate the development and ongoing improvement of digital editorial content, lead ideation and identify monetisation opportunities, and deliver quality branded content.

 

The Job

  • Create, implement and manage a digital and social strategy that communicates Home & Decor’s brand values and ensures consistent editorial tone across the platforms, increases brand awareness and audience engagement in creative and innovative ways, as well as generate ideas to grow online communities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and manage workflow and processes of the Home & Decor website and editorial team to maximise impact and cost efficiency. Create, commission, edit and track editorial content across all digital media, including repurposing content from print for use on the web and social media. Monitor engagement and conversations on social media and look for ways to tap into these conversations to enhance our content and grow audiences.
  • Cultivate and maintain an acute knowledge of the developments and trends in home decor and renovation in order to create and execute video and online content that will attract, grow and convert audiences. Keep abreast of developments in digital communications and evaluate our own digital capabilities.
  • Execute SEO strategy for the website; track and analyse conversion metrics to identify problems and opportunities; analyse key web and email newsletter metrics to determine the success of the current strategy; and execute changes when needed to maximise open and click-through rates and conversions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in digital magazine journalism, with experience in video creation.
  • A solid understanding of SEO techniques, user experience and web usage patterns among audience segments. Experience in using social media and various data analytic tools (such as Google Analytics, FB insights, etc), including a strategic understanding of best practices in this area.
  • A strong command of English language, with keen interest in design, home products, home transformation ideas, property trends and the ability to respond creatively to emerging trends.
  • Superior organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage projects, priorities and tight deadlines. Work with the entire editorial team to actively participate and produce quality content for website and all social media platforms.
  • Proficient in the creation of engaging digital content, including blogposts, videos, short video formats and infographics.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve company goals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a solid knowledge of and ability to use website and Google Analytics to optimise attraction, retention, and revenue goals
