Brand Newsroom seeks an experienced editor to join our team. We are a specialised unit within SPH Content Lab that looks at content marketing through the lens of a newsroom. Our unique selling point is to bring clarity to complexity; to engage effectively, visually, compellingly. Creating original content for brand partners that is aligned, in terms of tone and substance, with what audiences expect from platforms such as The Straits Times and The Business Times. Readers come first – content and distribution follow.
This is a leadership role in creating credible, clear and compelling multiformat content for our varied audience, and help build brand affinity for clients. The right person for the job has a keen interest in news and current affairs; passionate about creating engaging content, from text-based articles in both digital and print, to multiformat content campaigns involving video, audio and social media.
You’ve got to understand what makes a story fundamentally interesting while meeting the client’s brief.
The job requires both an analytical and creative mind to conceptualise, strategise, pitch, plan, manage projects and clients, and optimise performance. Exceptional editing and writing skills, necessary.
Must play well with others.
