From print to digital…TNP continues to deliver interesting social stories that are engaging and inspiring, as well as content that offers a unique street-eye view of life in the heartlands. Stories are curated to cater to all demographics from PMETs, heartlanders and younger audiences who are looking for a light read on what is happening in Singapore and around the world. TNP also features entertainment news, celebrity gossip, lifestyle features, and sports news.

Job Role

As a journalist/correspondent, you will curate, develop, report, and produce news stories and features on a wide range of topics for TNP/STOMP@STRAITSTIMES.COM. You are required to present your articles and digital contents in an organised and interesting way to educate and entertain our readers.

• Excellent command of English and strong writing skills
• Enthusiasm, independence, resourcefulness and the ability to work under pressure
• Good news sense with ability to source for content on social media and Chinese media
• Familiar and savvy with the various social media platforms
• Simple photo and/or video editing skills
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
• Willingness to be rostered to work on shifts, weekends and/or public holidays
