The successful candidate will assist in managing the financial accounts of a group of companies within SPH Group. Duties involve managing the financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring these are completed in an accurate and consistent manner in accordance with local GAAP and group policies. Other responsibilities include reviewing financial and management controls and resolving specific finance-related issues.
With the Group’s growing international presence. this role also requires the successful candidate to work closely with the overseas subsidiaries’ finance teams in analyzing business needs, developing and implementing business process initiatives across the group to support business growth. This will include (but not limited to) systems/workflow enhancements, development and refinement of reporting templates and processes, maintenance of internal controls, sharing of best practices, etc.
A graduate in Accountancy or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience including some years with an international accounting firm and preferably some commercial experience
Prior experience in a regional capacity, with global exposure, is desirable
Good knowledge and understanding of International financial accounting standards
A good appreciation of business workflow processes, systems and internal controls
Some project management experience is advantageous; ability to facilitate and bridge gaps across the organization is key
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills
Willing to travel
