Manager, Project Management Office (1-year contract)

Job Description

A key component within the Project Management Office (PMO) team, to manage and track the projects and products governance activities. Work with the PMO Head to track the portfolio of major projects and products across Technology Division. Manage the Project Management processes and provide process training to Project Managers. Manage the Competency development roadmap for SPH Technology and plan out necessary trainings and knowledge sharing sessions. Manage and Oversee the overall administration function of the Technology Division such as Budgeting cycle, Risk register, Procurement and Claims, Training budget and other related activities.

Day-To-Day Tasks:

  • Responsible to ensure that the Key Projects and Product delivery list is maintained

  • Responsible to track the key milestones of the projects and product development

  • Responsible to ensure that regular and timely progress update is obtained from the Project Managers

  • Responsible for preparing the portfolio dashboards and reports for management review

  • Conduct regular Technology Management meeting to review the Project and product delivery status

  • Produce regular metrics reports and updates for senior management

  • Plan Competency development framework to develop the Project Management skills of PMs

  • Plan and execute Training and Competency development activities for all Tech Staff

  • Plan and execute the Risk Management activities such as Enterprise Risk Register, Business Continuity Planning

  • Oversee the Administration function which covers procurements, payments, claims, training budget

Process / Improvements:

  • Establish and update the Project Management (PM) Processes and Templates

  • Communicate and Train the PMs and other staff on the PM Processes and Templates

  • Maintain the PMO processes, Project and Product related Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform Software Quality Assurance checks on projects to check the process compliance status


Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Project Management and PMO domain

  • Hands-on experience in handling Technology projects that follow the Waterfall and Agile Lifecycle

  • Experience in creating PM process documentation

  • Good experience in creating reports and dashboards for Senior Management

  • Good communication skills to be able to work with Project Managers, Senior Management, Business Stakeholders, Vendors and Training Service Providers

  • Experience in conducting some skills assessment and managing in-house training

  • Experience in creating Competency Development roadmap and planning training activities

  • Experience in Risk Management domain, as Department Risk Officer, Business Continuity Planning or Enterprise Risk Management areas
