Manager - Trade Operations

This role is responsible for managing and processing of day-to-day Trade Operations transactions, liaise with the Bankers, Suppliers, Buyers, Shipping lines, Agents. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Checking of Import documents received from Supplier under Collection, Letter of Credit as per the UCPC 600 and URC 522 guidelines and highlighting any errors.
• Processing of export documents under Collection and Letter of Credit as per the UCPC 600 and URC 522 guidelines 
• Processing of Outward remittances
• Liase with Suppliers, Buyers, Shipping Lines, Agents, Traders, Internal team
• Ensure error free processing of documents, proper escalation of issues and approvals are obtained for exceptional processing
• Appropriate handling of customer queries and those escalated by the team members if any
• Provide effective support to the team and in managing business and client requirements

Qualifications

• University Degree from a recognised institution
• Sound knowledge of Trade Finance products, Purchase and Sale Contracts, UCPC 600, URC 522 and ISBP
• Have at least 2/3 years of relevant experience
• Independent, articulate, good planning and organising skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
