Marketing Manager (The Business Times)

Job Description

The position requires a highly motivated individual to develop and implement marketing strategies to grow digital subscriptions to The Business Times in both the consumer (B2C) and corporate (B2B) segments 

 

  • You are required to identify and engage key target segments to grow the digital subscriptions. This will entail developing marketing programs and planning digital campaigns to reach out to these segments, grow brand awareness and create demand, the objective of which is to drive home subscriptions as well as leads for the corporate segment
  • You will formulate effective above and below the line advertising, as well as data strategies that will drive results to meet the set targets 
  • You will oversee the implementation of B2C acquisition campaigns and generate B2B leads for corporate subscriptions
  • Working closely with the Digital Strategy team, the Customer Experience team and the Corporate Sales team, you will develop ongoing forecasts, analytics, reporting & optimisation on digital product performance to acquire and retain both consumer and corporate subscribers
  • You are also required to identify appropriate business partnership opportunities for sponsorship tie-ups to drive product sampling to target segments
  • You will liaise with the creative agencies (internal and external) to develop effective communications and marketing concepts to drive subscriptions and leads
  • You are required to provide support in both physical and digital event management such as launches, promotions, webinars and roadshows through event planning and implementation, to drive subscriptions

Job Requirements

  • A recognized degree or diploma, preferably in Business Administration/Marketing with at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • A team player with a proven track record of conducting both B2B and B2C marketing promotions and campaigns
  • Strong written, communication and copywriting skills in English
  • An independent worker who works well in a cross-functional team environment
  • Confident, resourceful and works well under pressure
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and stay focused on achieving the targets
  • Experience in the use of enterprise email marketing platforms and analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA) is a plus
  • Some levels of experience and proven success in negotiating for sponsorship deals would be an advantage
  • Having a good sense of design aesthetics and creativity plus some experience with design would also give the candidate an edge
