Have a passion for news. As a part of dynamic visualization and graphics team, you would be expected to develop and design animation/motion graphic elements for all platforms of The Straits Times. You would also be expected to be able to take on graphic design duties when required.
You are highly creative, have a different perspective to design ideas, and are a visual storyteller at heart. You enjoy brainstorming and working collaboratively with your team and other departments across the newsroom.
You will work with video producers to propose, conceptualise and create animation and infographics for video stories like explainers and features, as well as show intros. You are also able to design animated and static backdrops to a floor-to-ceiling TV wall for our studio shows.
You are organised and have strong time management and asset management skills. You can meet tight deadlines at times, while clearly communicating with your supervisor to prioritise crucial projects.
You are able to show a strong portfolio of creative visual graphic and animation work for a range of media platforms.
