Job Description

  • Work alongside with Child Life Specialists and Social Workers to facilitate play in the hospital environment
  • Staff and maintain the Family Resource Centre and/or Playroom
  • Plan and facilitate daily individual play and/or group activities in the Family Resource Centre and/or Playroom
  • Organise, set up and facilitate special events in the hospital
  • Responsible for resource and material management
  • Engage and supervise volunteers to be effective and competent in their roles

Job Requirements

  • Minimum a Diploma holder in either Child Development, Child Psychology, Early Childhood Education and/or Special Needs Education or its equivalent
  • Have experience volunteering in hospital or with have had worked with children
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Ability to listen, communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with beneficiaries, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn
  • Permanent / Full Time
