The Chinese Media Group NewsHub seeks a Social Media Specialist to help set strategy and manage execution of ideas across various social media platforms under the zaobao.sg brand. Besides Lianhe Zaobao and digital native content, zaobao.sg also carries Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News content. 

To be successful in this role, he or she should be a digital native well-versed in the latest social media trends and analytic tools. He or she should also be familiar with the various platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and possess a strong command of Chinese and English. 

The Job

• Build an overall social management strategy through competitive and audience research for platforms under zaobao.sg brand, and work with the newsroom to see through its execution 
• Follow and deploy social media best practices
• Educate producers and editors in social management know-hows and techniques necessary to run accounts 
• Help build platform-specific templates to increase efficiency in social content production 
• Monitor and analyse social media data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement 
• Build and grow relationship/engagement with social media audiences

• Relevant degree course or technical certifications
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in social media management
• Fluent in oral and written Chinese as this role is for Chinese Media Group
• Knowledge in social media analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, Socialbakers, CrowdTangle
• Passionate about current affairs and social media
• Ability to work independently and with other teams
