You support the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) in developing the direction, focus and objectives for the ACCORD (Employer & Business) sub-council annually. On this, you propose and implement initiatives that will contribute towards the engagement of employers, as well as recognition and overall community support for National Service (NS). You also conduct annual surveys with the business community to assess sentiments towards NS, and interface with external agencies to benchmark best practices. You synthesise information from various quantitative and qualitative sources to analyse underlying concerns/issues impacting the employers and business industries. Additionally, you submit regular progress updates to the ACCORD main council. Your challenge lies in managing the complexities involved when working with different stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome.
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in business, arts or social sciences. Possession of a good command of spoken and written English, as well as good interpersonal and organisational skills, is required. You must be independent, focused and possess strong analytical skills. Having prior experience in events coordination and video editing will be advantageous. A basis understanding of Singapore's industry landscape, as well as the SkillsFuture national movement, will also facilitate in your secretariat work. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
