Job Description
- Procurement duties for vessel needs, such as Request for Quotation (RFQ), Price Comparison, Purchase Order (PO), Delivery Order, etc.
- Responsibility for a timely and economical supply of all technical material, equipment and services based on specification, defined quality and required standards.
- Support of market research activities to develop a qualified and reliable supplier network and recommend potential or alternative materials, services, prices and products.
- Invoice verification, resolution of discrepancies and handling of claims to vendors, process invoices from suppliers.
- Preparation and execution of requisitions for technical equipment, analysis of quotes and complement of documentation for purchase orders.
- Negotiation of purchase price and monitoring the vendor performance.
- Arrangement of needed logistics
- Any other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager
Job Requirements
- Those with relevant work experience will be an added advantage
- Previous experience with marine procurement software (TM Master, MESPAS, SIS or similar, etc.) will be an added advantage
- Fluent English and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Meticulous, organised, responsible & good team player
- A sense of responsibility and a high degree of result orientation as well as the strong ability to communicate
- Able to multi-task, good team player and committed to learn
