Started in 1935, Tamil Murasu is Singapore's only Tamil language newspaper. Tamil Murasu is the main information source for the Tamil-speaking Indian community with its coverage of wide-ranging news, from current affairs to local and foreign news as well as the latest in sports and entertainment, in addition to its strong coverage on news from the Indian community and the sub-continent. The newspaper has established itself as a voice for the Tamil-speaking community in Singapore.

As a Video/Podcast Editor, you will come up with concepts and produce videos for web and mobile platforms, and work closely with the team on podcast content creation, operations and strategy. You may be expected to present or do voice overs in the videos they produce. 

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Conceptualize, write script and produce videos 
• Post and manage all videos for publication on various media platforms, including social media
• Podcast editing and soundscaping 
• Audio content creation strategy
• Overseeing the running of audio facilities and maintaining recording schedules
• Liaising with podcast guests, sponsors and other internal/external stakeholders

• Relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Video Production, Journalism, or any relevant fields
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience
• Podcast/radio/broadcast experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge and experience with audio editing and Digital Audio Workstation software (Adobe Audition & Pro-Tools) is a must
• Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to produce quality work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills
• Effectively bilingual (English/Tamil) to be able to cater to the Tamil Murasu audience.
• Willingness to work on weekends/public holidays
